CHEER FOR THE P-R-O-S-P-E-C-T
The Prospect Cheer program is an instructional level program. All girls 5 through 14 years old are eligible to participate. There are no tryouts and tumbling is not mandatory but recommended. We pride ourselves on building our athletes fundamentally for success on the next level.
The main obligation of our cheerleaders is to cheer and support the Prospect Football players. Therefore, if football players have a game, the girls are required to cheer (rain, shine, cold, etc.)
The girls are able to meet this obligation by following the AYF Cheer governing principals, which include:

Safety First and foremost we want our girls to be safe and learn the importance of being safe while doing various cheer stunts.

Sportsmanship Regardless of the outcome, its important for the girls to understand that winning isn't about a trophy but about the lessons learned and the strive to continue to do your best.

Full Participation Girls are taught the importance of teamwork and being apart of a team. "A team is only as strong as its weakest link". When one person doesn't pull their weight, it's reflected in performance and the team dynamics.
